The “Ramp” seating system was conceived as a versatile series of components that seamlessly attach to a wooden framework. This system includes various elements such as sofas with different upholstered sections, side tables, ottomans, armrests, and more.
Distinguished by its soft and curved forms, the collection aims to present a more approachable and less technical aesthetic compared to most seating systems currently on the market. Our goal was to develop a system that utilized plywood as a crucial structural element, influencing the design, ergonomics, and above all, the functionality of the entire project.
The configurability of these elements and their ability to form larger arrangements make it easy to adapt the seating to users' needs and fit seamlessly into any space. Consequently, Ramp is ideal for open-plan offices, hotel lobbies, lounge areas in public spaces, as well as receptions and waiting rooms.

The Albio collection of tables embodies an imperial charm beneath its harmonious design. Crafted from Travertine marble—a material favored by the Romans for their most celebrated monuments—the table's top is uniquely rounded on all sides, resting elegantly upon a sleek, faceted triangular base. The soft, organic curvature of the top contrasts beautifully with the solid slab of the base, creating a unified, sculptural form. Choose from finishes in full Travertine, wood, or lacquer, available as a dining table or in a smaller coffee table version, which can be adapted to suit modular needs.

The Franz sofa collection is designed to evoke a soft and comfortable feel, achieved through the gently curved armrests and backrest that wrap around the seat. This design that takes inspiration from the the shape of traditional Chesterfield couches not only enhances comfort but also adds a distinctive three-dimensional appearance, setting it apart from typical sofas. The collection offers a range of variants, including two and three-seat versions, along with various backrest options to suit different preferences. Developed with modularity in mind, the project allows for versatile combinations using a few different modules, providing flexibility in creating personalized configurations.

Beneath a serene and majestic surface, Pinto draws its inspiration from the timeless concrete flooring of Venetian palaces, elegantly fusing fragments of marble and stone to craft a monolithic and contemporary collection of tables. Pinto stands as a remarkable assortment of mono-material coffee tables that were designed by the Milan based studio Skrivo for the Italian manufacturer Miniforms (miniforms.com), meticulously forged from a specialized fully recyclable and reusable concrete that is entirely devoid of any chemical or metallic impurities. This mineral compound epitomizes modernity, capable of withstanding all manner of weather conditions, rendering it an ideal choice for both indoor and outdoor explorations.
While concrete is often synonymous with its substantial weight, Skrivo embarked on the challenging quest to minimize material usage, all while shaping a collection of coffee tables with sculptural allure. With an unwavering commitment to non-reinforced concrete, our journey led us to unlock the secrets of precise compound compositions and mold processes, bestowing upon these tables the gift of structural strength, thus allowing the material to embrace its distinctive aesthetics and durability.
The culmination of this creative endeavor unfolds in the form of two harmonious, primitive-shaped tables that push the very limits of concrete, with their strikingly slender 18mm thick profiles. Beyond their captivating form, these tables offer a dynamic interplay of perspectives, treating the viewer to a unique visual experience, thanks to their captivating asymmetrical designs.

The Bowie armchair is strongly influenced by classical modern Danish seating. The solid wood structure embraces the soft upholstered seat and backrest. Bowie also incorporates certain details that take advantage of modern woodworking techniques that give the chair a contemporary look with hints of the past.

The Brulla chair references the bistrot chairs seen in Viennese cafes since the 19th century- but subtly and subliminally. The perfect circle forming the seat has a graphic impact and looks contemporary yet the chair has a quirky character with its back legs leaning inwards. This practical, stylish, stackable chair is suitable for both the contract and domestic markets and seamlessly synthesises the straight lines of its legs with the curves of its seat and backrest, forming a cohesive, minimal design.

The Drape collection of sofa’s are characterized by the way the underlying construction is exposed in order to create a visual contrast between the various materials. The tubular steel structure bends and swoops around the seat and backrest which in turn create a functional and visually interesting detail that is covered with a tense layer of fabric or leather that acts like a skin.
One of the goals of this project was to reconsider the way sofas are constructed and by looking at their underlying structures which are usually hidden under multiple layers of fabrics and foam. This collection addresses this by attempting to use less material and more efficiently while also revealing its inner workings. One of the sources of inspiration were the flowing and organic shapes of metal banisters and handrails found in modernist architecture.

At the foundation of all of our projects is the idea to manipulate and play with materials in order to arrive at interesting and functional products. In the case of the “Pinch” sofa system was the idea of finding an innovative way of combining expanded polyurethane and tubular steel – two materials very commonly found in sofas.
The starting point was to combine two materials that have very different characteristics - Foam changes shape when touched, bent, under pressure, etc., and steel pipes tend to be very strong and hard.
The Pinch seating system is characterized by steel tube legs that run all the way to the top. This in turn makes the upholstered cushions look as if they have been wedged into place and gives the sofa shape. The main concept is to make the fluid steel structure interact with the upholstered parts in a visible way.
One of the goals was to propose a sofa system that had interesting details when looking at it from all angles (front, back, side, etc.).

The “Mitilo” seating system is characterized by a series of concave armrests/backrests that are constructed in tubular steel pipes and upholstered in fabric. This simplifies the production and construction methods and uses less material compared to traditional seating.
One of the most visible characteristics is the upholstered seat that is located bellow the armrests/backrest making it look as if it were overflowing while also permitting it to be flat packed. It forces the concave upper part to interact with the seat in order to attain a more three dimensional solution that creates contrast between the various elements.
At the core of the project was the idea of finding an innovative way of combining the seat with the armrests/backrest with as little material as possible. One source of inspiration were the structures, materials, building techniques, and aesthetics of the Bedouin tents traditionally found across northern Africa.

The Colony armchair has a steam bent beach frame with a seat/backrest in open webbed cane. A series of upholstered cushion complement the chair by adding additional comfort.
Caning has always caught our eye. It is functional, sustainable, resistant, lightweight, and most importantly it reminds us of furnishings from the past. From its origins in Southeast Asia to its introduction in Europe that ranges from French baroque to Austrian industrial age seating.
While researching the caning process we realized that it is very suitable for shaping allowing it to follow a wooden frame relatively well. A contemporary look is achieved by designing the armchair in multiple colours and making the structure more angular compared to more traditionally caned furniture. This in turn creates greater contrast between the frame and caned sections of the chair.

The inspiration for the initial concept was stimulated by the way a collar folds. This creates a more comfortable chair as well as adding a more distinct visual detail. Collar combines technology and detailed handcrafting. The reaction injection-moulded interior was followed by intense modelling. The upholstery is tailored just like a made to measure suit. Even the buttons are upholstered to match the seat cushion, underscoring the importance of every last detail.
A second version was developed without the turned down sides, which is slightly slimmer making it ideal for dinning. We were inspired by the collarless shirts (called Mao in Spanish) worn by some of the most eccentric & conspicuous leaders of the 20th century. This version is slightly lighter and thinner, making it ideal as a dining chair.

The Diverge seating range comes from the idea of creating a stackable chair that doesn't look stackable. The chair and barstool are characterized by their cylindrical solid wood frames that split into two to become the legs as well as being a support for the moulded plywood backrest.

The starting point for many of our projects is manufacturing methods and materials. In the case of the “Dent” lamps this experimentation started with clay and to experiment with the traditional clay throwing process. By forming a rounded tube and then squeezing it a “Dent effect” is created that causes the shape to warp. This dent effect creates a three dimensional pendant that provides multiple profiles depending on its viewing angle. The pendants are available in two sizes and three colours.

The Halo seating system comes from the idea of mixing and matching different backrest elements to create a variety of seating configurations, ranging from a single seat easychair, a public seating system, and a three-seat sofa that works well in different environments.
The main feature is a very large backrest that can provide additional comfort, but also increases privacy and improves acoustics without the need to close oneself in. The system is called ‘Halo’ because the backrest/headrest is reminiscent of a saint’s halo.
The starting point was to design a series of objects for public spaces. We saw a growing trend of furniture that would give the user more privacy but they tend to isolate the person from the surrounding environment. We tried to think of a half way point that would allow the user to have more privacy but still be able to interact with their surrounding.

The Batti pendant lamps start from the idea of manipulating iron tubes – a material that is traditionally considered very rigid and cold. By revisiting very traditional Tuscan metalworking techniques the iron takes on a very organic and three-dimensional aspect. The final outcome is a series of suspended lamps that are composed of multiple iron forged tubes that reflect light in a very particular manner thanks to the faceted surface. The most interesting aspect of the BattiBatti lamps is that no two are alike since each lamp has been forged manually meaning that each pendant will have its own character.
By collaborating closely with Opinion Ciatti and taking advantage of their expertise in metalworking we have been able to envision a product that combines very traditional techniques that have been around for thousands of years and reinterpret them to seamlessly fit into a contemporary interior environment.

Diplopia: commonly known as double vision, is the simultaneous perception of two images of a single object that may be displaced horizontally, vertically, diagonally (i.e., both vertically and horizontally), or rotationally in relation to each other.
The main concept behind the Diplopia Armchair is to duplicate the various surface in order to create more comfortable and structurally strong furniture while creating an elegant product that has its own identity.
The steel tubes have also been doubled in order to function as both legs and armrests. They start off from the same point to eventually split off and finally reunite on the ground.

The concept behind the Stack easy chair comes from the idea of having cushions in constant motion that look like they have been stacked randomly on top of each other. Placing multicoloured polyurethane upholstered cushions on a molded plywood structure creates the perception of depth and playfulness. Two tubular steel rods add additional aesthetic detail as well as structural support for the ash wood legs.
